  1. Christmas for the Epic Fail

From SMH: Messages of faith, focus and failure,

At St Andrew's Cathedral the Anglican Archbishop, Peter Jensen, told the assembled crowd they were a bunch of failures: "But that's the message of Christmas - the arrival of Jesus to save us from those failures."

In a very personal sermon, Dr Jensen spoke of his near failure in his leaving certificate. He said the greatest failure was the unwillingness to accept our faults.

Looks like the media has done it again, failed to pick up the main failure that Peter Jensen talked about yesterday -- the relationship failure between God and man. At least the conclusion was not too bad.

The Christmas message, he said, was "not of grimness, gloom and disaffection but joy in the saviour who comes along to fix the colossal mess in the world".

It just needs a few more words to make it clearer -- "... to fix the colossal mess in the world, i.e. sin". Back to editing room, now!

  2. We Are On Sydney Morning Herald!

Cheung Sing and the Yang's Lazy Saturday morning. Checked my email at around 11am, and got an email from Elsie Lam with a catching subject: Picture of you in the newspaper!!. Ouch -- is that in the crime section?! Hopefully not. No chance in Sports nor in the gossip section either, I think. Then Elsie passed me this link, which she also blogged about:

Sydney Morning Herald: Cheung Sing BBQ House

Spot the family in the background at the last row of table? I have made it to the newspaper, finally! I think that was 2 weeks ago and Vivian was chatting with a lady from China whom just happened to sat next to us. She has a daughter who was slightly younger than Anna (whom immediately became a friend of Anna's).

Funny expression from the bottom-right guy in the picture. "Where is my food?" :)

  3. Don't Panic!

Don't Panic! SMH: Worst day in Australian stock market in more than 18 years, where All Ordinaries fell 408.9 points, or 7.26 percent. Tomorrow is probably going to be ask bad, if not worse, after US starts trading this week. It was RED on the trading screen throughout the day. "Don't panic!!!" the analyst said. I don't think it will work when you are a CommSec customer whose server crashed hard this morning due to excessive number of retail investors trying to short their stock. Not looking good.
