1 million dollar fine for spammers

According to this article on Sydney Morning Herald, a new law passed federal parliament today that will penalise spam offenders in Australia up to 1 million dollars of fine. However, this new anti-spam law is still useless against the majority of email spams, who are originated overseas. There will be some exemptions, where religious group is one of them. I wonder whether FOCUS can be exempted. I have always been worrying being accused as a spammer, as thousands of emails are sent out from my server everyday, from some of FOCUS's mailing lists. Some of these emails can probably be classified as "spams", depending on how you define the term "spam".

I don't foresee one day federal police knocking on my door to take away my PC, because people at church use my server to send out junk mails.
