Mid Autumn Spring Festival

It was Chinese's Mid Autumn festival yesterday, but to those who live on the southern side of equator, it was actually the Mid-Spring. It's the time to have family gathering and enjoy moon cakes. Back in Taiwan there were lots of activities going on, but here in Australia, it was just another day.

Last night we invited some people over to our place for steam boat dinner. 7 of us at the Mid Spring night. Well, I think I had far too many steam boat this year, and as the season is approaching summer, I think it might be my last one for this year. We also had Michael calling from Shanghai to send his greeting, which was a surprise. He has just found a suitable job, and his family is going well. I am not sure about his spirituality. He was not a Christian when he went back, even though from the emails he seem to try to attend church services. God will guide, I hope.

The wife of the villain emperor ate the pills that grant eternal life, but some how floated to the moon, and stayed here by herself. It is not the kind of eternal life that one would like to have, but the eternal life Jesus has given us is different, as there will be relationship with our creator God...

Beside the excellent talk, we also played games, and ate the moon cake. I was not really a fan of moon cake, and I had one eighth a slice. When we were having supper, we could see the moon through the holes between the cloud. Pretty small I'll say. Little moon of the southern sky...
