Why Emails Have Been So Colourful Lately?

Okay. This is a rant. Why emails sent in the FOCUS mailing lists have to be colourful lately? Things with big fonts, lots of sometimes-quite-disoriented colours, half-baked sentences aligned left, right and centre across the page, and words that resembles advertisement - these are sent to the FOCUS mailing lists with around 200 to 300 recipients, and they come nearly everyday!! The irony is, they are actually sent by our MTS workers, advertising for Wednesday Campus Bible Study meetings, Sunday church meeting and Mid Year Conference. According to V, apparently our Pope, Joshua, likes them very much, so all other MTS are sending these colour emails like mad. I shacked my head in silent when I heard that...

And I did not realise this until this morning when I checked out my junk mail box collected by SpamAssassin, and found lots of them sitting in there being labelled SPAM. Even the semi-intelligent spam mail filters recognise them as junks, I wonder what the properly implemented and trained Bayesian filters will do.

For the love of God, bring back the ASCII text-email!

And I shall not get into why everyone is sending 5mb file in their email attachment, which after base64 encode becomes 8mb. And via the mailing list. Then people complain why others did not respond to their email because 70% of FOCUS members are on either Yahoo or Hotmail, which has tiny little quote...
