Google Nexus S by Samsung and all that Gingerbread goodness

Nexus SReleased early this morning (AEST time) — Google Nexus S, made by Samsung. Official page here.

A few highlights:

  • 1GHz Cortex A8 (Hummingbird) processor
  • 512MB RAM and 16GB internal storage
  • 4 inch WVGA contour display (yes it’s not flat)
  • Android 2.3 “Gingerbread”

Android 2.3 platform was also announced, with SIP stack, Near Field Communications, more sensor support, multiple cameras support, Download Manager, and more. Now just waiting for a build is available for me Nexus One :)

    I think this will be a great phone to capture our 2011 season as we work through a full schedule of weddings, birthday parties and bespoke corporate events. The only other phone that comes close is the HTC Desire HD and in both cases, my concern is about privacy and Apps that share your info without consent; http://www.mobiletechnews.com/info/2010/12/20/125229.html
