It is great as a social networking tool, and I guess sites like Twitter and Pownce is both for announcing to friends as well as announcing to the world (can't do public status on Facebook I think). Thanks! :) While I do like the idea and simplicity of Twitter, I just can't see myself investing time into it. On the other hand, I find that Facebook seems to be more addictive as a social network thing. It has the twitter functionality in it's status updates, plus it's focused towards a circle of friends.
