Elsie

We have decided to call her Elsie, which is a short-form of Elizabeth, which (according to always unreliable baby names websites) means “consecrated to God”. Welcome to the world! By the way, we are now back home…

    Didn’t know that Elsie is short of Elizabeth…I thought it was Liz only.

    I can see elsie (lam) will dancing and jumping with joy when she heard about this and/or when seeing the little elsie in TAT hahaha :)

    Lina will be very happy too, I guess ;) Elizabeth – good name indeed.

    Glorya: Guess what Scott and Vivian’s baby girl is called!

    Me: Ummm…I don’t know?

    Glorya: Guess!

    Me: Does it start with R?

    Glorya: No

    Me: Does it start with S?

    Glorya: No

    Me: Is it a popular name?

    Glorya: Yes. Its got 5 letters.

    Me: Is it Gloria?

    Glorya: That’s got 6 letters!

    Me: Is it Mary? Sorry, I don’t know any 5 lettered names!

    Glorya: It starts with E…

    Me: Elsie?? or Elise??

    Its exciting to share a name with someone else :) It will be a bit weird hearing people talking about another Elsie…

    According to the Online Bible, Elizabeth (John the Baptist’s mother / Aaron’s wife) means “my God has sworn” or “God is an oath” or “oath of God”… any Hebrews / Greek specialist???
