Last year was Peter Jensen, this year RBA’s ex-boss Ian Macfarlane is on ABC Radio’s Boyer Lectures, on the topic of Searching for Stability. Very interesting talks, looking at Australia economy from after WW II to the recent years. A bit heavy for my engineer’s head, but it does give me some new perspective on the stability of economy.

After reading the 2006 Ian Macfarlane Boyer lecture series it only proved to me that the Reserve Bank of Australia never had a clue in managing monetary policy and that it caused far more damage to Australia from 1975 to 1991 than people can ever imagine. Macfarlane knows they got it badly wrong consistently and by 1991 had almost turned Australia in to an economic basket case. I was the person in 1991 that was at the right place with the right information to end the 17 years of economic ignorance and provide a blue print to save the remaining banks and put the economy on the road to Australia’s best years of economic growth and performance and the banks a dream run they could not have imagined. I would like to put my story to end once and for all the nonsense that has filled the financial and political pages of Australian media since that seminal contribution to Australia’s welfare on 31 July 1991. You know how to contact me – “The Businessman from Melbourne that saved Australia”.
