Couples asking cash rather than wedding gifts
SMH: Increasing number of marrying couples asking for cash rather than gifts from their guests in their wedding reception. Sounds like what Chinese has been doing for many centuries :) I myself don’t quite get the idea of gifts — most of the time the perceived value is less than the cost, so might as well give cash (or gift vouchers). Or maybe it is just me.
