		<description>Maybe this is a bit late, but I have heard that freezing (yes placing the disk in the refrigerator freezer) the HDD sometimes just gives it enough juice to maybe be accessible for half an hour to an hour, although half an hour will be less for 5 gb if it does become accessible.

Some people have also reported getting longer access times if the disk is connected to the comp while it is still in the freezer and hence still remains cooler.

And no, this is not an urban legend but an actual tried and tested method although I&#039;ve not tried it personally (have not had a complete disk failure so far)
