		<description>I recently had the same discussion here in Portugal, I opted to go with overseas hosting as opposed to local because the price difference was significant, not to mention the features/bandwidth and disk space too.</description>

Most web applications that use Ajax also promote interactivity, and it actually creates many more light-weight HTTP traffic. Gmail is a good example. Turn on a HTTP tracker (I use FireBug the Firefox plugin) and you&#039;ll see HTTP connections are triggered by just clicking here and there.

But they are usually asynchronised so from interactivity point of view they ain&#039;t that bad.</description>
