You can configure greatnews to use firefox by option-->usability. Tick box before 'open rss link in external default browser'. As in your case, firefox is your default one. Especially its synchronization with bloglines makes it a very strong rss platform with strong synchronization server api support. You can also use it as outlook style by ticking view-->news list. After that, once you click on a special feed, you will see all the news you received was displayed in a pane one by one as every single email item looklike. Once you used it for a little while, you will discover more productive function. Also I am gonna write a firefox plug-in for it. Just realised that it uses IE for its main reading pane (like most Win32 news readers), but clicking on a link does not use my default browser, which is Firebird in this case. Not enough short-cut keys so my hand has to reach to the mouse constantly. Now, where is the support/bug-reporting forum of this thing... Maybe not that great.
