Linus Torvalds a Switcher?

Linux creator Linus Torvalds is now running a dual G5 2.0 PowerMac as his main desktop box, except that it does not run Mac OS X but Linux PPC. Important quote is “…Part of it is that I personally believe there are two main architectures out there: Power and x86-64 are what I think are the two most relevant ones…” But I guess if someone has given you this beautiful G5 dualies, who wouldn’t want to run it?

hmm … still, running linux instead of os x on a dual G5 seems a bit weird …

Weird? The man’s the creator of Linux. The OS was named after him. You wouldn’t expect him to run anything but Linux, do you? It’s like expecting Steve Jobs to use Linux on his PowerMac G5.
