What 43 things do you want to do?

It has been a month and half since the beginning of this new year, but just in case you have not had your new year resolution planned, this social networking site allows you to put in up to 43 things that you want to do, blog about them, keep track of your progress, and share with someone else who might also want to do the same. Quite a brilliant idea, except I have huge difficulties coming up with enough things that I really want to do.

One particular thing that I really to achieve is stop procrastinating, and it turns out 500+ others also desire the same. However, the very fact that I was still mingling with 43 Things site in the middle of night, while “trying” to work on the MBFri seminar that I need to present today, shows that it would be quite a while before I can confidently click on that “I’ve reached this goal” button.

I’ve actually been considering getting the book by Dean Allen (http://www.davidco.com/) titled “Getting Things Done”; if nothing else than for a good read.

I get a lot done already, however I know that I could get a lot more done if I could just ‘do it’ – all the time and not just ‘some of the time’.

I always say I wish there were 36 hours per day, that isn’t going to happen in a hurry so I might as well do what I can to improve how much stuff I can achieve per day.

    Ohh the possibilities
    ;)

    Big Al,

I am sure your boss will double your workload if you have 36 hours each day (I know mine will!) and at the end you might still procrastinate the rest away (I know I will!).

And I think the author is “David” Allen. I wish it was Dean Allen, the mastermind behind TextPattern who seems to be always on holidays. I’ve been waiting for TXP 1.0 for yonks (I’ve got 2 sites running TXP g19), and am going to migrate both of them to WP 1.5 when it comes out.
