E-Sword Modules

Christian File Center provides many extra modules for popular free Bible study software E-Sword, a finely developed software that runs on Windows. I downloaded ESV+footnote, NET, and CUV traditional+strong. I wonder whether it is possible to use E-Sword modules with SWORD related projects, like MacSword, so I can use the same text on my iBook.

As I understand it, the sword project uses OSIS which is derived from XML, and e-Sword used MS Access format files; so no they aren’t compatable as is, although it may be possible (someday) to automatically convert between the formats. But for now, no.

I was also wondering where I could get Matthew Poole’s Commentary for e-Sword?
    Also, John Trapp’s commentary?

It’s cool to see another Christian with a .id.au account! Both my friend and I have one.

As for your question about using the same files across several different programs, you can *if* you use programs the convert the files over to a different format, there is a few yahoo groups that have those files, I can’t think of any ones in particular at the moment, but I’m sure you’ll be able to find them no problem!

(Just realised now how old this posts is  )

    Dear,

I saw you have downloaded the ESV + footnotes for E-Sword.

In the version of ESW I have, the footnotes don’t work.

Is it possible to send me the files of ESV/with footnotes ?

    Thanks in advance,
