A New Release of God

Apparently a new version of “God” has been released at version 6.0. It promises to be “softer, gentler and completely compatible“, which I believe is the product of extensive market research on the majority of the user groups. Here is their press release:

All-New
God Version 6.0
Brought to you by today’s Christians.

Quite clearly it is targeted at the liberals around. While it is very clever and funny, it is also very sad to see that is “God” that many “Christians” today would like to have.

clever and funny? hardly. I found this “God” to be inconsistent and full of injustice. Why would anyone want a god like this?

It won’t be funny if you are taking it seriously and literally, but then we would loose the intention why this piece of parody was created. If you look at it carefully, it is actually not about liberal Christian describing what they want from God, but someone outside the liberal Christian scene smacking them in the face and ironising what they actually believe.

Yes. This God would then be inconsistent and full of injustice. Isn’t it funny (and sad) that today’s Christians actually want to believe in this “God”?

People who look for ways to make sin okay are not Chrstians.
    This is so not funny.

Not so funny is their theology on why God is. Funny is the way how this “God Version 6″ sarcasm illustrates their “theology” in an ironical way.
