It is on the Sydney Morning Herald this morning.
No sacred cows in dean’s tirade
Anglican Media Sydney has the abridged version of Phillip Jensen’s sermon.
Pray that I may declare it fearlessly
It is definitely worth a read. The message is indeed strong, as Phillip attacked religious tolerance and liberalism of today. I guess we will hear more opinion on his sermon later today as the news spreads, but we pretty much can predict the outcome from the general public. As the Sydney Anglicans working hard on achieving the 10 percent goal in 2010, the heat and pressure is really building up. Again yesterday from Joshua’s talk, we heard there are more groups on the campus stirring up troubles against the Campus Bible Study during the Orientation week.
After all, the gospel still needs to be preached. Philippians 1:27-30 have been challenging verses for us, that suffering in this world is expected for those who preached His Word. We shall continue to pray for Phillip for his boldness to stand up and face the criticism, and continue to do God’s will for him.
Hi,
I am not an Angican, but a concerned Christian a frustrated evangelist,
My issue and I need every bit of information possible, is to do with this concept of the “Memorandum of Understanding, or interfaith program that is being thrust on the Churches, by certain Church leaders,.
Who are they that are involved in this agenda and what is the agenda?
A lot of friends don’t see it as a major issue.
As I see it if it is not stopped, we will find it near impossible if not illegal to evangelise.
Thank you Scott for a terrific web page.
may God bless you mightily, may you be led into all the truth exposing the lies and lifting Jesus higher, in these days
I pray that you be protected and given the strengh and wisdom, and a full measure of His Spirit.
May you be filled with that fire of Pentecost.
God bless
Linton Holm
Hi,
Posted a note to you before not sure if it went.
Basically I am after any info on the move by certain Church leaders In the interfaith movement.
The creation of this idea of “memorandum of understanding” between Christians Jews and Muslims.
What effect will this have if it is accepted, especially when it comes to Evangelism and the exclusive claims of Christianity.
What way can it be countered?
Thank you for your excellent web page.
God bless
